Abstract

The reporter's attitude to the Journalistic Code of Ethics must remain the same from time to time. In a sense, journalists are bound and bound by the Code of Ethics as signs, guiding rules as well as giving directions about what should and should not be done in carrying out journalistic tasks. By understanding and implementing the Journalistic Code of Ethics can form a true professional journalist. This research is entitled "Analysis of the Journalistic Language Code of Ethics in Pekanbaru Tribune Newspaper". The research problem is how the journalistic language code of ethics in the Tribun Pekanbaru Edition newspaper 01 October-30 November 2018. This study aims to determine the application of journalistic language codes of ethics. The theory used is the ethical press in the book Sumandiria, 2011: 183, Law No. 40 concerning the Press in 1999 in the book Panggabean in 2013. The sources of data and data of this research are news concerning violations of the journalistic language code of ethics. This research method is the content analysis method, the type of research is literature, and the research approach is interview, documentation and hermeneutics. Results. The results of this study are there are deficiencies in the implementation of journalistic language code of ethics which is determined according to Law No. 40 concerning the Pres of 1999. In this study there are still discrepancies such as words, sentences, or news titles with the provisions of the journalistic language code of ethics.
