Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know how is the persuasive communication done by the chairperson of PSPS Riau Supporters Asykar Theking towards its members in creating positive attitude and behavior and to know what factors that influence persuasive communication of the chairperson of PSPS Riau Supporter Asykar Theking with its members in creating positive attitude of the supporters. This research used the concept of persuasive communication components such as: persuader, persuadee, perception, persuasive message, persuasive channel, feedback, and effect. This research used descriptive-qualitative research method. The technique of data collection covered interview, observation, and documentation. The results of this research show that persuasive communication done by the chairman of Asykar Theking supporters is by giving instruction to all members in the form of rules for the supporter members when they are in the stadium. Not only that, persuasive communication done by the supporter’s chairperson to the members is also by inviting the members of supporter to do positive activities outside football environment by doing charity activities such as fund raising, and also the chairperson also emphasizes on the members to run one of Asykar Theking mission which is intertwining and strengthening relationship among supporters in Indonesia for the sake of football advance in Indonesia.
