Abstract
The selection of titles in this study was motivated by observations conducted by the author on Indonesian language teaching teachers conducted on the day Tuesday, August 20, 2017 at Kampar 01 Middle School that has the ability to write text the procedure is still in a low category. The problem examined by the author is: How ability to write text and linguistic structure procedures text VII grade students of State Middle School 01 Kampar based on? This study generally aims to describe ability to write procedure texts for grade VII students of Kampar State Middle School 01 based on structure and language. The population in this study were all students in class VII of SMP Negeri 01 Kampar as many as 122 people. Samples taken are equal to 25% of all students that is 31 students. The research method used is descriptive method, namely describe the ability of students to write procedure texts in class VII of State Middle School 01 Kampar Academic Year 2018/2019. The data collection technique is a text writing test procedure. Data were analyzed using percentage techniques and value categories according to Razak (2014: 211). Based on the description and analysis of the data presented in the processing chapter data about "The ability of students to write procedure texts in class VII Kampar State Middle 01 Academic Year 2018/2019 ", it can be concluded the ability of students to write structures procedure text in class VII of 01 Kampar State Middle School Academic Year 2018/2019 overall seen from the average value obtained by students is 64.11 or at enough category. While language skills students write procedure texts from the class VII 01 Kampar State Middle School 2018/2019 Academic Year as a whole seen from the value the average obtained by students is 81.0 or in the good category. Based on these conclusions, the hypothesis in this study mentions that the ability to write procedural texts of class VII students of SMP Negeri 01 Kampar based on the structure is quite adequate with categories (61-80) and the ability to write procedure texts Grade VII students of SMP Negeri 01 Kampar based on linguistics are good with categories (81-90) can be accepted.
