Abstract

Social media will not be separated from life in modern times at this time, present social media has changed the interactions that occur. Social media like Facebook has been widely used by the people of Indonesia. Utilization of the status wall on facebook Not apart from hateful messages often found on facebook social media. In various forms, hate can be found on the facebook status wall. This research discusses studying the status of walls on Facebook through hateful messages. This research uses qualitative research methods compiled using analysis of library studies which contains several documents such as books, magazines, newspapers, internet and other literature aimed at making a theoretical foundation. The subject in this research is a message that has a hate speech on the Facebook wall status in May and April 2019. The object of this research is the utilization of the wall status in Facebook social media as a media that spreads hatred. The results of the study are the spread of hate speech that often occurs in April and May during the 2019-2024 Presidential election, hate speeches that are categorized as insulting, defamation and provoking. The aspects offered are among other groups: Prabowo Subianto and Sandiaga Salauddin uno support groups, which include individuals are Prabowo Subianto, Jokowi Dodo, Chief of Police and the Police
