Abstract

Development is basically a planned and programmed effort by one country to create a better society. The success of the implementation of development depends on the choice of objectives to be achieved by using resources to achieve these goals. So that the development process can be carried out according to what is expected, then one aspect that is considered is the coordination of the development implementing apparatus. Coordination is one way to unite the efforts of each responsible person for implementing development or existing work units in an area to facilitate the development process, especially development that is in accordance with the demands of regional autonomy to achieve established development goals, so that the objectives of the development implementers in an area can be achieved. In this study the indicators used are planning, division of labor, communication and supervision. This research method is quantitative in the form of descriptive analysis with the type of survey research. This research is located in Pematang Tinggi Village, Kerumutan District, Pelalawan Regency. In this study the authors determined a sample of 105 people with a purposive sampling technique. The results showed that the role of the village head in coordinating physical development in Pematang Tinggi Village, Kerumutan Sub-District, Pelalawan District (2018) had a significant role with 43 respondents or 40.95% respondents, because the village head was lacking in direct coordination with the community about physical development in village
