Abstract

This research was motivated by the phenomenon of the role of BAZNAS in improving mustahik’s welfare after getting help from zakat funds and to know zakat which is given by BAZNAS give the influence on the empowerment of mustahik economy in improving people’s welfare at Indragiri Hilir regency. Zakat become the source of funds which can give the benificial for people’s welfare especially to fade out from the poverty and lost the social discrepency. Thus, the researcher is interested to do the research entitled how is the role of BAZNAS in improving mustahik economy is seen from income aspect after getting the zakat funds and whether zakat funds which is given by BAZNAS give the significant influence on mustahik economic empowerment . The limitation of problem in this research was the BAZNAS program which include productive zakat at Indragiri Hilir regency. This is field research with desriptive qualitative methods. Population and sample in this research were the chairman of BAZNAS INHIL and mustahik at productive zakat with the total numbers 5 people. In collecting data, it used observation, interview and documentation. After collecting data, then analysing by using quantitative analysing. The result in this research indicates that the people’s economy in INHIL can prosper the people’s economy and mustahik can survive their need sufficiently. Through BAZNAS at Indragiri Hilir regency especially Tembilahan regency make the people are happy and feel better with the help that given from BAZNAS.
