Abstract

This research was motivated by the arising of some franchises business lately. This business is important to discuss because is one of the business which has special right that owned by individual. Business means the changing of goods, services or money which has mutual benificial. Phenomenon that will be dissussed in this research is about franchises business Minimarket Kitamart. The formulation of problem in this research was how is the business system of Kitamart frenchise at Pekanbaru, then is the frenchise business Kitamart appropriate to the Islamic economics concept. Frenchise is one of the relation where one of the party is given the right to utilize the intellectual property rights on the invention of someone’s business with the reward system based on the conditions that already set by other party such as in the form of providing and selling goods and services where the frenchise given is called franchisor and receiver is called Franchise. The reseach methodology in this study is field reseach with descriptive qualitative method. In collecting data, it used observation, interview and documentation. The result in this research indicates this business used the syrkah system. This business puts forward the syariah principles by avoiding the business practices such as maisir, immoral, gharar, riba, ikhtikar and hazardaus. Kitamart is frenchise business based on syariah with the cooperation system. Kitamart in Pekanbaru is under the supervision of Bahtera Sejahtera Bersatu cooperation. The system distribution of Kitamart with RAT (Annual member meeting) with the profits sharing accordance to SHU (shurplus).
