Abstract

This study aims to determine the performance of the Department of Tourism and Culture of Solok Regency in developing the Alahan Panjang Resort tourism object, Solok Regency. Performance research indicators used include productivity, service quality, responsiveness, responsibility and accountability. The research method used is quantitative, namely interviews and by interacting at the place and object of research. This research can be categorized as a descriptive survey, namely prioritizing a list of questionnaires and interview lists as a data collection tool and the data collected becomes the main raw material for analyzing empirical conditions and objectivity of the existence of research objectives at the location studied. The technique used in this study is to use Purposive Sampling, namely taking sample members from the population with certain considerations. The types and techniques of data collection used consisted of primary data collected using questionnaires, interviews and documentation techniques and secondary data collected using observation techniques. While the analysis technique used is descriptive. Based on this analysis technique, the researchers assessed and concluded that the performance of the Department of Tourism and Culture in the development of the Alahan Panjang Resort tourism object, Solok Regency was in the fairly good category.
