Abstract

Analysis of the Effect of the Oil Palm Plantation Sub-Sector on Gross Regional Domestic Product and Labor Absorption in Rokan Hulu. The purpose of this study is 1). To determine the effect of plantation area and sawitt coconut production on the GRDP in Rokan Hulu Regency. 2). To find out the effect of plantation area and palm oil production on labor absorption in Rokan Hulu. The formulation of the problem in this study are as follows: 1) "How is the influence of the area of oil palm plantations and production on GRDP in Rokan Hulu Regency". 2). "What is the effect of the area of oil palm plantations and production on Labor Absorption in Rokan Hulu.This study uses the method of multiple linear regression to determine whether the effect of the oil palm plantation sub-sector on GRDP and employment in Rokan Hulu Regency is significant or not. The data used in this study are time series data from the area of oil palm plantations, oil palm plantation production data, GRDP data and employment absorption data in Rokan Hulu Regency using secondary data, while the data processing technique used is eviews 10. The results showed that from 1) the area and production of oil palm plantations to GRDP only the area that had influential results. 2). The area and production of oil palm plantations on employment there is no effect of these variables.
