Abstract

This research was conducted by the author aims to determine the effect of the work environment on the performance of service employees at PT. Agung Toyota SM. Amin Pekanbaru. This study is to determine the dimensions of the work environment that have the most influence on employee performance. The indicators of the work environment used in this study are the physical environment and the psychological environment, as well as the employee performance indicators used in this study, namely the quantity of work, quality of work, and timeliness. Sampling using saturated sampling method for employees and for leaders using purposive. The data in this study were obtained through questionnaires, and the data analysis used was simple regression analysis with the SPSS v.23 application. In the overall validity test, the statement items are declared valid because the value of r count > r table ( 0.2272 ). The results of the simple regression obtained the value of Y = 10,781 + 0.408 X. From the results of the partial test or t test, the value of t count (5.660) > t table (1.99300) with a significant level of 0.000 < 0.05 means that the Work Environment (X) has a significant effect on Employee Performance (Y). And the value of the coefficient of determination of 0.305 means that the percentage of the influence of the work environment variable (X) on the performance variable (Y) is 30.5%, while the remaining 69.5% is influenced by other variables that are not included or ignored in the study.
