Abstract
This study aims to determine how the influence of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) and district minimum wage (MSE) on the unemployment rate in Meranti islasnds. The data used in this research is secondary data. Data analysis method in managing the results of this study is the method of multiple linear regression analysis where the method is used to measure the effect of the dependent variable on the independent variable. The results showed that the R² value of 0.601002. This means that 60% of the independent variable (Unemployment Rate) has been represented to explain the dependent variable (gross regional domestic product and district minimum wage). While the remaining 40% is explained by other variables outside the model. Furthermore, seen from the coefficient value of the independent variable and the T test (partial) it can be seen that the gross regional domestic product (X1) has a positive and significant effect while the district minimum wage (X2) has a negative but significant effect on the Unemployment Rate (Y) in the Kepulauan Meranti District .
