Abstract

In this study, using two variables, namely the distribution channel as the independent variable (X) and sales volume as the dependent variable (Y). This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the effect of distribution channels on the sales volume of urea fertilizer at PT. Tiga Manunggal Abadi . The data used by the study are primary data collected through a questionnaire. The hypothesis of this study is that there is an influence from the distribution channel on the sales volume of urea fertilizer at PT. Tiga Manunggal Abadi. To determine the effect of these variables used simple linear regression, correlation coefficient, coefficient of determination and hypothesis testing (T test) using SPSS 21. Based on the analysis using the simple linear regression statistical method Y = 1.452 + 0.414 X which shows the influence of the distribution channel (X) to sales volume (Y) is positive. Furthermore, the results of the correlation coefficient test show the correlation value of the two variables, namely the distribution channel and sales volume of 0.9 with a positive direction and the relationship is very strong and 980 significant. Furthermore, the results of hypothesis testing, the T test is 15.463 with sig 0.000. obtained t table for 2012 in other words T count is greater than T table (14.665> 2.012). So it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, or it can be interpreted that the distribution channel has an effect on sales volume or there is a positive and significant influence between the distribution channels on the sales volume of urea fertilizer at PT. Tiga Manunggal Abadi. The coefficient of determination is 0.877 (87.7%), which means that the distribution channel has an effect of 87.7% on sales volume and 12.3% is influenced by other factors.
