Abstract
This thesis is entitled: Effect of Economic Growth and Wage Levels on Employment Opportunities in Kuantan Singingi Regency. This research was conducted in Kuantan Singingi Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine how much influence the Economic Growth and Wage Level had on Employment Opportunities in Kuantan Singingi Regency. This study uses secondary data, namely data in the form of annual quantitative figures from 2008 to 2017, data obtained from other sources that have been processed and then presented in the form of reports, journals and archives at agencies related to this research. Where Y is the Job Opportunity as a devendent variable, where the Regression coefficient X1 coefficient of Economic Growth is -0.003 percent. This means that if Economic Growth increases by 1 percent, it will reduce Job Opportunities in Kuantan Singingi District by 0.003 percent. And the value of the Regression coefficient X2 Wage Level coefficient that is equal to 0.163. This means that if the Wage Rate increases by 1 percent, it will also increase employment opportunities in Kuantan Singingi Regency by 0.163 percent. Then the Simple Determination (R2) coefficient is obtained, which is 61.90 percent. This means that 61.90 percent of Kuantan Singingi Regency Job Opportunities are influenced by Economic Growth and Wage Level while the remaining 38.10 percent.
