Abstract

This study aims to determine and obtain empirical evidence about the influence of owner education, accounting knowledge, business age and business scale on the use of accounting information in Pangkalan Kerinci District The sample of this study is small and medium businesses in the Pangkalan Kerinci sub-district. The sample technique used was Simple Random Sampling where the sample was randomly selected and the samples in this study were 73 people. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to small and medium business owners in the Pangkalan Kerinci District. The data analysis technique used is by using multiple regression tests. Based on the results of tests conducted on the research, it was concluded that, the education variables of the owner and accounting knowledge significantly influence the use of accounting information in small and medium businesses in the Pangkalan Kerinci District. While the business age and business scale variables do not significantly influence the use of accounting information in small and medium businesses in the Pangkalan Kerinci sub-district.
