Abstract
The purpose of this research is to find out the application of the basic concepts of accounting in the laundry business in the district of Tenayan Raya, Kota Pekanbaru. The data collected is primary data and secondary data. Data collection methods required by the author for this writing material are questionnaires, structured interviews and documentation. After all data is collected, the data is grouped according to their respective types and then poured in a tabular form and will be described descriptively. Regarding this research, the object of the research is laundry business located in Tenayan Raya District, Pekanbaru City with a total of 20 businesses. The problem raised in this study is how to apply the basic concepts of accounting in the laundry business in the District of Tenayan Raya, Pekanbaru City. In a company both large and small companies need a report on corporate finance. Company activities that affect finance every month need to be known as material for decision making. With the implementation of the accounting system in laundy business, it will be easier to find out the company's profit or loss for a period. The conclusion of this study is the application of accounting conducted by Laundry Business in Tenayan Raya District, Pekanbaru City is not in accordance with the basic concepts of accounting.
