Abstract
This study aims to determine the communication strategy of the band indie named “Sudut Pelangi”. The approach to this study was descriptive qualitative where the researcher explains and describes the findings. The subject in this study were 3-5 students who is indiemusic lovers and were considered capable of helping to make opinions about the band indie,Sudut Pelangi.The data were collected through interviews, observation and documentation. Date analysis method in this study were data reduction, data presentation & conclusion. Triangulation technique were used in this study for data validity test. The finding in this study shows that the process of branding strategy of Sudut Pelangi emphasize their characteristics or their signature style in creating music, their performance and their appearance when they are performing on stage and also because of a few factors such as their visual appearance.
