Abstract
Teens' Existence Through Hashtags (#Ootd) on TikTok Social Media Lego Nenghayati 179110182 The development of technology is currently growing rapidly. One of the most popular social media applications is TikTok. TikTok social media is a social media that is currently widely played by all walks of life, in which there are interesting videos that make it interesting. The purpose of this research is to find out how the purpose of self-existence through TikTok and also how the existence of teenagers through #ootd dimedia TikTok social. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods using data collection techniques of observation, interviews, and documentation. Social bookmarking is a type of social media that works as a tool to store, organize, manage and search for certain news information online. In TikTok social media, we can post videos and provide captions and hashtags in them. Existence is a form of being recognized for someone's existence. while #ootd is one of the hashtags used by TikTok users to exist. The development of fashion which is increasingly growing rapidly has changed and influenced their behavior in choosing and wearing clothes. For most of them, looking attractive, beautiful and charming is the most important thing, even though they accidentally show their curves. This kind of culture is increasingly prevalent in today's modern era, especially among teenagers. The results of this study are the purpose of self-existence through TikTok, namely to entertain themselves, as a means of promotion, to increase friendship and as a means of personal branding. How is the existence of teenagers through #ootd, namely by creating content related to the outfit of the day, each informant has a style of clothing such as oversized, casual, daily, monocrom.
