Abstract

This study aims to determine the responses of students from the Da'wah Institute of the Riau Islamic University Campus about Ustadz Abdul Somad's da'wah account on Instagram. Responses are responses or reactions that occur to stimuli that are received with the five senses, the response is usually tested in the behavior that appears after the stimulation occurs. Responses are expressed with word expressions that can have implied or direct meanings from various perspectives from an individual's or expert's / expert's point of view. Responsibilities can also be made by one's actions against the stimuli that arise so that they can lead to action. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. This research was conducted on members of the Al-Kahfi Islamic Student Activity Unit and the Islamic Studies Forum within the Riau Islamic University. The technique of taking the subject in this research is the snowball technique, the data source used is information that comes from direct observation to the research location by means of interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the responses of the students of the Riau Islamic University Campus Da'wah Institute support Ustadz Abdul Somad in using Instagram in preaching because the content of the da'wah is educational for everyday life.
