Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises (UKM) are one of the important parts of the economy of a country, including in Indonesia, one business is said to be an SME if you have a net worth of at most Rp. 200 million does not include land and buildings where the business is independent. In accordance with the president's decree. No. 99 of 1998 the notion of small businesses is: "small-scale economic activities of the people with business sectors which in majority are small business activities and need to be protected for medium-sized enterprises from unfair business competition". One of the UKMs on the road Dr. Leimena is a distributor of coconut shell and charcoal which is a promising SME in Pekanbaru that is in great demand by Pekanbaru people, especially during Ramadan. Coconut shells and wood charcoal are made from selected wood selected in several areas such as bengkalis, dumai, tembilan, ukui. The coconut shell charcoal business has very clear intermediate material requirements, the demand for the supply of semifinished local ingredients is never quiet. Can be developed on limited land, resistant products (no expiration) cheap business investment, simple production equipment, enough to do with simple management and many more advantages of shell charcoal. The problem that arises is: It is indicated that the access to raw materials is so far from the development of the charcoal business. Thus, the research objective is to analyze the supply of raw materials for small and medium enterprises in wood charcoal and coconut shell (Case Study of SMEs 3 in Jalan Dr. Leimena) Pekanbaru. This type of research is a survey with research locations in Wood Charcoal and Coconut Shell Enterprises (Case Study of UKM 3 in Jalan Dr. Leimena) Pekanbaru. Types and sources of data used primary data and secondary data, while collecting data through the results of observations, surveys, interviews, and research questionnaires. After the data is obtained then grouped according to its type in a table, then the data is analyzed and linked to theories in the form of descriptions so that conclusions can be taken. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the Small and Medium Enterprises Raw Material Inventory in Pekanbaru Coconut Shell and Coconut Shell Charcoal are in the good category with a percentage of 50% for the respondent of business owners.
