Abstract

This research was motivated by students’ learning difficulties problems that happened to class VII students at Islamic Junior High School Darrul Qur’an Darussalam, one of the problems indicated low score and low achievement in learning., they were also difficult to follow the learning process. In solving these problems, giving lesson mastery and helped with discussion and lecture method. The purpose in this research examined to know the influence of discussion method at Islamic Junior High School Darrul Qur’an Darussalam. This research used quantitative with correlational approach. This research involved 56 sampling by using saturated sampling in case that the popalition less than 100 persons. Data collection technique used questionnaire. Based on hypothesis test with significant score P = 0.009<0.05, it meant that there was any influence of discussion method on students’ learning difficulties in class VII Islamic education subject at Islamic Junior High School Darrul Qur’an Darussalam. The influence score could be seen from summary table with R Square in 0.345 or 34.5%. it showed that students’ learning difficulties influenced by discussion method in 0.345 with low criterion. The conclusion explained that this research finding clearly showed that there was any influence of discussion method on students’ learning difficulties in class VII Islamic education subject at Islamic Junior High School Darrul Qur’an Darussalam.
