Abstract

This research was motivated by students’ class VIII achievement problem in AlQur’an memorizing at Ar-Royan boarding school KabunSubdistrictRokan Hulu. One of students’ problems was the lack of memorizing intention, lack of parent’s motivation, play when memorizing Al-Qur’an. In solving this situation, using drill method could be applied to reach students’ achievement in memorizing AlQur’an. The purpose in this research examined the influenceof drill method on students’ achievement in memorizing Al-Qur’an. This research used quantitative with correlational approach. The population and sampling in this research were 33 students and used saturated sampling. Data correlation analysis method used simple regression test. Based on simple regression analysis result, it could be showed that significant score less than 0.05 where 0.000<0.05. then, H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted, it meant that there was influence of drill method on students’ class VIII achievement at boarding school Ar-RoyanKabunRokan Hulu subdistrict. The influence score where 0.438 in range 0.40-0.59 that classified in strong enough. It could be concluded that there was any influence of drill method on students’ class VIII achievement in Al-Qur’an memorizing at boarding school Ar-RoyanKabunSubdistrictRokan Hulu.
