Abstract
This study aims to determine how the communication patterns of guidance and counseling teachers in increasing student interest in learning at SMA Negeri 3 Mandau Duri. The need for Guidance and Counseling services in education is closely related to the nature of the meaning and function of education in all aspects of education. Operational definitions in this study are patterns of communication, guidance and counseling, and interest in learning. In this study, the research method used is qualitative by conducting interviews, observations, and documentation. To test the validity of the data obtained using the Triangulation technique. The results of the study The pattern of communication between counseling guidance teachers and students in increasing interest in learning is a wheel pattern in which the teacher becomes the central point. The pattern of communication used is communication between two or more people and face to face in small groups who exchange information with the aim of further establishing closeness in building a relationship.
