Abstract
Baju kurung basiba is the traditional dress of Minangkabau identity of women in Minangkabau. However, as the development of the current era start rarely encountered women Minangkabau use the baju kurung this in their daily life. It would be the affairs of the Bundo Kanduang park. Which is a “limpapeh rumah nan gadang” which has an important role and be the key to the settlement of all family issues. The purpose of this study is to know the strategies of Bundo Kandung in the revitaliation of baju kurung basiba in Kenagarian Koto Tangah Tilatang Kamang district agam west sumatera. This research is a qualitative study that seeks to provide an overview of the events that occured, known by the descriptive research is the collection of data which is obtained based on the reality in the field through observation, interview, and documentation. Where the informant is the wali nagari, the board bundo kandung, community leaders and the community. The result showed that the bundo kandung perform some of the strategy in revitalizing baju kurung such as socialization, guidance, and trainin to the youth.
