Abstract
Researchers are interested in researching this because Dhapu Koffie is the first pioneer of modern concepts. This research was conducted to determine the motives of visitors at Dhapu Koffie. This study uses the phenomenological theory introduced by Alfred Schutz, namely because motive and in order to motive, because an action taken must have certain reasons. This study used qualitative research methods. Data by type and source are primary data and secondary data with data collection techniques through interviews and documentation. This study used triangulation data validity techniques to analyze the data qualitatively and draw conclusions and select informants using purposive sampling technique. The results of the study can be concluded that it can be categorized as being because the motive is a) invited by friends, b) bored, c) near the location. What becomes in order to the motive are a) Social motives such as making new acquaintances, b) Making assignments, c) Tasting food and drinks, d) Facilities, e gathering with friends, f) low prices, g) Nice and comfortable place , h) Entertainment, i) Services. Of the many informants' motives, the dominant one is social motive, namely gathering with friends. There are differences because motive and in order to motive men and women. Because women's motives are more dominant in a comfortable and good place to hang out with friends. In order to motive the woman is more dominant in tasting food, namely Acehnese specialties, namely Mie Aceh. Because male motives are more dominant in gathering with friends. In order to motive, it is more dominant to enjoy wifi to play games.
