Abstract

This research is motivated by the existence of communication problems within an organization in the Regional Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) which have an impact on the quality of services provided in the community. This research was conducted using qualitative methods with interview, observation and documentation techniques. This study applies the concept of formal and informal communication networks as a reference. So, based on the results of the research, it was found that in the flow of formal communication, namely downward communication, there are work orders, evaluation of work results, discussion of new programs, the second point is upward communication which consists of reports on work results, conflict discussions. The third point is the existence of horizontal communication which consists of UPTD Policy Discussions, sharing patient developments, sharing main tasks. In relation to informal communication networks, communication networks that flow up and down or horizontally without regard to positional relationships, if any, may be few. Because this informal communication causes personal information to emerge from interactions between people and flows throughout the organization without being predictable at this point there is a wirid, family gathering.
