Abstract
Human resource management is one of the key factors to obtain the best performance, because it is not only to deal with skills and expertise, but also to build conducive behaviors for employees to form the best performance. The factors of organizational commitment and Islamic work ethics have an important role to improve optimal performance of the employees. This study aims to investigate the influence of organizational commitment and Islamic work ethics on the performance of educators at the Islamic University of Riau (UIR). Based on the result of partial hypothesis test, itshows that the organizational commitment (X1) has a significant influence on the performance of educators at the Islamic University of Riau (UIR), it is known from the value of t-count > t-table (6.922 > 1.654). Then, the Islamic work ethics (X2) also have a significant influence on the performance of educators at the Islamic University of Riau (UIR), it is known from the value of t-count > t-table (6.668 > 1.654). The results of simultaneous hypothesis test show that the organizational commitment and Islamic work ethics have a significant influence on the performance of educators, it is known from the correlation coefficient value of 0.736 or 73.6%, which is included in the category of a strong relationship. In general, it can be concluded that there is an influence of organizational commitment and Islamic work ethics on the performance of educators at the Islamic University of Riau (UIR).
