Abstract

ABSTRACT EFFECT OF REWARD AND PUNISHMENT ON EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE AT PT. JNE EXPRESS PEKANBARU BY: TILA WATI NPM : 165210499 The purpose of this study is to determine the policy of giving rewards and punishments given by the company and to determine the effect of rewards and punishments received by employees on the performance of employees of PT. JNE Express Pekanbaru. The population of this study are employees who work at PT. JNE Express Pekanbaru, amounting to 31 people. To simplify the research, the sample in this study consisted of 31 people, namely employees of the sales department and the warehouse department. In this study the sampling method using purposive sampling method. This research was conducted with a quantitative descriptive method using primary data and secondary data obtained through interviews and research questionnaires. The results of the study concluded that the reward variable has a significant effect on employee performance at PT. JNE Express Pekanbaru. With a firm and fair reward, it can have an impact on the work results of employees who are regulated and cared for while working so that their performance will increase. The punisment variables together have a significant effect on employee performance at PT. JNE Express Pekanbaru. With motivation that is given fairly and in accordance with the employee's position, it will increase the morale of the employee so that it has an impact on improving their performance.
