Abstract
This study was conducted to examine the effect of premium income and investment returns on profits of Indonesian Life Insurance Companies. This research uses quantitative methods. The population used is the Indonesian Life Insurance Company in the 2015-2019 period. Samples were taken using purposive sampling method with a total sample of 16 Indonesian Life Insurance Companies and the type of data is secondary data. Methods of data collection using the method of financial statements, with data analysis techniques multiple linear regression. The results showed that the premium income has a positive and significant effect on the profit of the Indonesian Life Insurance Company, and the investment return has a positive and insignificant effect on the profit of the Indonesian Life Insurance Company.
