Abstract
The purpose of the study was to determine the suitability of the application of accounting conducted by restaurants in Lubuk Dalam District and Koto Gasib. As for the population of this study, there were 15 restaurants carrying out records in Lubuk Dalam and Koto Gasib Districts. Data collection techniques used in the preparation of this paper are questionnaires, which are sent directly to the object of research. The analysis used in this study is a descriptive method, namely the activity of collecting, processing and then presenting so that it can be seen whether the restaurants in Lubuk Dalam and Koto Gasib Districts have applied accounting. The results of the study are as a whole it can be concluded that the application of accounting conducted by restaurant entrepreneurs in Lubuk Dalam and Koto Gasib sub-districts is not yet in accordance with the basic concept of accounting because there are still entrepreneurs who have not applied basic accounting concepts.
