Abstract

SMP Nurul Falah Senapelan District Pekanbaru City is a non-profit organization engaged in education which is located at JL. Commandant Commander No.49. In recording the transactions that occur are recorded in the general cash book, recapitulation of the monthly general cash book and financial statements. This study aims to find out whether the application of financial accounting conducted by Nurul Falah Middle School Senapelan District Pekanbaru City is in accordance with general accepted accounting principles. The data needed are primary data and secondary data. The technique of collecting data uses interviews anddocumentation. From the understanding of accounting conducted by SMP Nurul Falah, Senapelan District, Pekanbaru City, it is not yet in accordance with general accepted accounting principles. This is due to the fact that Nurul Falah Middle School at the end of the period did not make adjustments to used office equipment, fixed assets and financial report preparation conducted by Nurul Falah Middle School still using a business organization format. For this reason, the writer suggests recording in accordance with general accepted accounting principles, so that there are no mistakes or irregularities and can facilitate the organization to make effective and efficient decisions.
