Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the suitability of the accounting application carried out by catfish farming entrepreneurs in the coastal district of Rumbai with basic accounting concepts The data collected are primary data and secondary data. The data collection techniques in this research are interviews, documentation and questionnaires. After all the data is collected then the data is analyzed using descriptive methods so that it can be seen how the suitability of the accounting application carried out by catfish farming entrepreneurs in the sub-district rumbai coast with basic accounting concepts. The results obtained from the research that have been carried out by researchers are: (1) catfish farming entrepreneurs in the coastal sub-district of Rumbai still use cash basis in their business so it can be said that they have not applied the basic concept of recording in their business (2) catfish farming entrepreneurs in coastal rumbai sub-districts have not applied the concept of business unity in their business ( 3) catfish farming entrepreneurs in coastal rumbai sub-districts have applied the time period concept, (4) catfish farming entrepreneurs in coastal rumbai sub-districts have not applied the concept of continuity in their business, (5) catfish farming entrepreneurs have not applied the concept of matching in their business. So it can be concluded that catfish farming entrepreneurs in the coastal sub-district have not applied the basic concept of accounting.
