Abstract
The purpose of this research is to find out the suitability of the application of accounting carried out by the restaurant business with the basic concepts of accounting. The basic concept of accounting used is the concept of business unity, the concept of sustainability, the concept of time period, the basis of accounting and the concept of competition. The object of this research is a restaurant entrepreneur in the Pelalawan Regency drainage base. As for the population of this study were all restaurant entrepreneurs in the Pelalawan Regency drainage base. Data collection techniques used in this study are primary data and secondary data. Data collection methods required by the author for this writing material are structured interviews and documentation. From all that can be concluded that the basic concept of the application of accounting in the restaurant business in the Kuras base district is not in accordance with the basic concepts of accounting.
