Abstract
It is known that the dominant solar cell used today has a weakness that is small power, relatively expensive price plus a constant installation position (angle). Therefore, an effort is needed so that the performance of solar cells can be improved, the effort is to add supporting equipment in the form of solar trackers, reflectors, and Fresnel lenses to the solar cell. Added supporting equipment serves to increase the intensity of sunlight received by solar cells. This research aims to gain influence from solar cell support equipment on solar cell performance and obtain the best supporting equipment to help improve solar cell performance. the solar tracker used in this study is using solar tracker single axis, reflector used type flat mirror and Fresnel lens used made of plastic. From the results of the study, performance tests and analysis conducted showed that there is an influence of the addition of supporting equipment on solar cells to the performance of solar cells. solar cell performance is best obtained on supporting equipment on day 5, a tool to V, with an efficiency value (η) of 15.03 %, a short circuit current value (Isc) of 0.57 ampere, a maximum power value (Pmax) of 6.86 watts, an output power value (Pout) of 6.86 watts, a fill factor value (FF) of 0.67, an open circuit voltage value (Voc) of 17.72 volts, using a solar tracker equipped with Fresnel lenses and flat mirror reflectors.
