Abstract

Oil production from long-operating wells usually has a high water cut. The presence of water in crude oil will cause the formation of emulsions. While the oil to be marketed must meet the criteria for the amount of water in it. One step that can be used to overcome the emulsions is by injecting chemical demulsifier and reverse demulsifier. Besides that it can also be done by paying attention to the operating temperature of the chemical demulsifier and reverse demulsifier performance. Good oil quality with content BS&W <1% and oil content <120 ppm ie oil content in wastewater. Then evaluation of BS&W value and oil content was carried out from July to November 2017. Then tested the effect of temperature on the performance of chemical demulsifier and reverse demulsifier at temperatures of 120°F, 130°F, and 140°F by using the bottle test. Based on the result of the evalution of KSK field data on the BS&W value at an operating temperature of 120°F that by injecting the consumption of chemical demulsifier 3 GPD works optimally because the BS&W value is <1%. Testing of the effect of temperature is obtained that at a temperature of 140°F is a good temperature to be applied because the results of the oil content value has been <120 ppm and injection of small chemical demulsifier dan reverse demulsifier consumption.
