Abstract

There are several complaints from motorbike users, the dominant thing being a complaint is the performance of a matic motor that is less responsive. One of them is done by changing the tilt of the drive pulley on the CVT component. The pulley drive is related to the crankshaft. While driven pulley is related to the final gear and directly to the rear wheel. For this reason, the variation of the tilt of the drive pulley is analyzed by changing the slope angle of the 140, 14.50 and 150 drive pulleys so that the influence of the tilt drive pulley on the motorbike is known. The research was carried out experimentally through testing of motorbikes using dynotest and pertalite fuels. For this test, the object of the Honda Beat 110 motorcycle is used to determine the motor perfomance by using a different drive pulley tilt angle. From the test results, it was found that the tilt of the drive pulley can affect the performance of the motorbike including torque, power, effective pressure, fuel consumption, specific fuel consumption, and thermal efficiency. From the results of the research, the best variation of pulley tilt angle was obtained at the slope of the drive pulley 140 with a torque of 15.81 Nm and power of 6619.1 Watt with fuel consumption of 0.666 kg / hour, effective pressure an average of 30672.3 Pa, use of specific fuel 0.100 kg / kw.hour, and 90% thermal efficiency using pertalite fuel.
