Abstract

Government policy in order to decide the poverty rate in the Republic of Indonesia is one of the government's priorities now, poverty is a problem that must be addressed by the current government. For this reason, the government issued a policy to reduce the poverty rate through one of the Family Hope Programs. The Family Hope Program aims to combat poverty through direct cash assistance. In addition, the goals of the Hope Family Program also reduce infant mortality, education for children from disadvantaged families, pregnant women and the elderly. In the study the authors used a type of qualitative research and descriptive method. Descriptive method is research that is descending directly to the field and seeing systematically, structurally and studying in theory. The theory used in this study is the theory of public policy evaluation according to William N Dunn, with a benchmark of several indicators as a reference for researchers to look at the Hope Family Program policy. In the implementation of the Family Program policy The expectation of coordination between the people of the use of aid has not been implemented well, if this can be done well then the implementation of the Family Hope Program policy will be carried out well, for that communication between the two must be well established. The researcher also concluded from the results of the research that the policy was very helpful for the poor, but the assistance did not include community empowerment programs, but it became a program of community dependence on government assistance, a monitoring system that was still not in accordance with existing regulations making this program not achieved according to the vision and mission.
