Abstract

This research is entitled "Silek Tari Performing Arts in the Marriage Event of Malay Society in Boncah Tagonang Village, Rambah District, Rokan Hulu Regency, Riau Province" Year 2018/2019. Silek Tari Performing Arts is a performing art in the form of a martial arts dance that is displayed in weddings that move their hands like dancing people accompanied by a Borogong gondang instrument and have elements of art, religion and social. The theory used is the theory of Junaidi Syam which states that poncak is a traditional martial arts martial arts, usually in the form of dances and accompanied by Gondang Borogong music. Sources and types of data are primary and secondary. In this case using primary data through direct observation interviews or using books and cameras to be documented. The method used is descriptive analysis method based on qualitative data that uses data collection techniques by means of interviews, observation and documentation. The study sample consisted of several people consisting of, 5 Musicians and 2 Pesilat, and 5 spectators. The speaker was Atuk Sakirman as the teacher of Silek Tari's coach in the village of Boncah Tagonang. Data collection techniques are interviews, observation, and documentation. Based on the results of the research findings, Silek Performing Arts Dance at the wedding begins when the bridegroom approaches the bride's house. The Silek Tari movement pattern is: menyombah, step pockets, steps, direction, step back, snake, step forward, step, stab, step back, greeting mumboi with a straight and curved line pattern. The music used in Silek Dance Performing Arts is gong, celempong, and drum.
