Abstract
This research was motivated by the implementation of extracurricular activities at Pekanbaru State Middle 12. The main purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of dance extracurricular activities (kuala deli) at Pekanbaru State Middle 12. The subjects in this study were 9 people, including 1 headmaster, 1 extracurricular coach, 1 dance extracurricular trainer and 6 students from the kuala deli dance extracurricular. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach where this study uses a system of data collection through observation and interviews. Data from observations and interview results of this research are described and described. From the results of the analysis of findings in the field, it was concluded that the material taught was Kuala Deli Dance. The method used in dance extracurricular learning at Pekanbaru State Middle School is lecture method and demonstration method (the teacher gives examples of dance movements, students follow and practice the students are very enthusiastic in doing dance practice. Facilities and infrastructure for implementing extracurricular activities in dance in junior high school Negeri 12 Pekanbaru is a pavilion and podium room for Pekanbaru 12 State Junior High School for training, musical instruments are Malay dance tapes, tape recorders and speakers.The assessment of Pekanbaru's extracurricular activities is that the assessment at the end of the training process is given qualitatively as A (very good) = 85- 100, B (good) = 70-84, C (enough) = 50-69, and D (less) = 30-49.
