Abstract
This study aims to determine the developments that exist in the Joget Dangkong Jerambang traditional dance starting from the movements, costumes, musical instruments, make-up, floor patterns, lighting, and floor patterns and to find out what factors have changed in the Joget Dangkong tradition Orange. The theory used in this study uses, development theory and change theory. This study uses an interactive descriptive method of qualitative data, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation techniques. This research was conducted at the Langgam Art Gallery south of Dabo Singkep, Lingga Regency, Riau Islands Province. The subjects in this study amounted to 10 people. The subjects used in this study are as follows: 1 person who runs the Joget Dangkong Jerambang and as the chairman of the South Langgam Art Studio (Boy Andika), 1 person as the head stylist of Joget Dangkong Jerambang (Darmawan), 1 person as Joget Dangkong Jerambang (Early ), 1 Joget Dangkong Jerambang dancer (Nurul), 1 person the first builder of the Sanggam Selatan Studio 2004-2006 (Taufik Idris), 1 village elder who knows the history of Joget Dangkong Jerambang (Katang Dang), I a religious leader (Ismail) , 1 person as an old dancer Joget Dangkong Jerambang (Jamiah), 1 musician Joget Dangkong Jerambang (Arif Nevana), 1 resident of Dabo Singkep (Edwin), The origin of Joget Dangkong Jerambang is an entertainer among the kingdoms in the heyday of Dabo Singkep. Joget Dangkong Jerambang traditional dance is danced by 5-8 female dancers and 1 Mak Dangkong as a singer.
