Abstract
This study aims to determine the Silat Api Performance in the community in Lubuk Bendahara Village, Rokan IV Koto Sub-District, Rokan Hulu Regency, Riau Province. The theory used is the theory of Wardoyo and Lubis (2013: 1) about the silat theory, Notosoetjitno (1997: 18-19) about the concept of silat and costume, the theory of Murhananto (1997: 18) about the basic elements of silat movement including gestures, namely space , energy and time, basic aspects of motion in the form of direction, level, line expansion. Next is the supporting theory of Edy Sedyawati (1980: 41) about the audience. The methodology of this research is descriptive method based on qualitative data. Data collection techniques used were structured interviews, non-participant observation, and documentation. Silat Api in the community in Lubuk Bendahara Village is a local art scene to express the daily lives of people in Lubuk Bendahara Village. The results showed that there were 13 different types of motion, using calempong, gong and ketepak musical instruments. The floor design is straight and a triangle pattern. Changes in dynamics of movement, direction, tempo of music and floor design. The costumes used on female fighters are long sleeves and black trousers, black headbands, and white belts while the costumes used by male fighters are long sleeves and yellow trousers, yellow headbands and white belt. Lighting used is only lighting lamps such as LEDs. Using the arena stage.
