Abstract

We have seen at this time that the behaviour of smoking in children is already very serious where the increase in child smoking increases over the years. This is also supported by the data that Indonesia's number of smokers is the world's third highest in the world, where about 65 million people are even more concerned about the age of smoking that gets younger every year. If people have developed the courage to smoke in middle school then we can now see primary school children have started smoking. I think that the social environment affects the current child smoking behavior. Using the social bond theory theory of theory according to hirschi (bynum & Thompson, 1989: 190-191) with four main elements Those are : attachment, Commitment, Involvement, Belief . In this study the writer saw that due to a lack of social ties in which a lack of attachment means compassion isa source of strength derived from the socialization of with in their primary group suppose families, so individuals have a strong commitment to adhering to a rule. The writer could conclude that the smoking behavior of children may increase due to lack of social ties in which lack of attachment to individuals in the neighborhood and thereby increase the child's smoking behavior each year. If the social ties in the environment were strong it would be less likely for children or for those in the neighborhood to engage in deviant behavior.
