Abstract

Compensation is a key part of solving how to make members do what the company wants. This compensation system will help create a willingness among qualified people to join the organization and take the actions needed by the organization. Meanwhile Motivation is a factor that encourages a person to do certain activities, therefore motivation is often interpreted as a driving factor for one's behavior. The problem that arises is that there is an indication that employees currently feel that compensation is received at PT. Agung Toyota Duri-Riau has not been able to increase their income to meet their daily needs, the purpose of the research is to find out the Compensation Effect on the work motivation of PT. Agung Toyota Duri-Riau. This type of research is a descriptive survey with the location of the research conducted at PT. Agung Toyota Duri-Riau located on Jalan Raya Duri-Dumai, km 4 No 13 Balai Makam, Mandau, Riau. The types and sources of data used are primary data and secondary data, while data collection is through observations, questionnaires, interviews, and research documentation. After the data is obtained and then grouped according to its type in a table, then the data is analyzed and linked to theories in the form of descriptions so that conclusions can be taken. Based on the results of the study indicate that compensation (X) has a positive and significant effect on work motivation (Y) Employee Marketing Executive at PT. Agung Toyota Duri-Riau. Based on simple linear regression analysis, the R Square value of 0.51 means that compensation has a significant effect on employee work motivation in the Marketing Executive Section at PT. Agung Toyota Duri-Riau, while the remaining 49% describes other independent variables not observed in this study.
