Abstract
This study aims to find out the reason radio broadcasters in the city of Pekanbaru want to work as a radio broadcaster with a salary below the Pekanbaru Minimum City Wage (UMK) standard, to find out why radio broadcasters in Pekanbaru want to work as radio broadcasters even though they have more jobs the amount of wages outside their work as an announcer and to know the factors and supporters experienced by a radio broadcaster in carrying out his profession as an announcer and also as someone who has another job. As for the reason the authors conducted a research on the phenomenology of this radio broadcaster was because there were several radio broadcasters who had sub-standard salaries, of course they had certain reasons for becoming a radio announcer, this is what made the writer interested in researching the phenomenology of radio broadcasters. Phenomenology is a way that humans use to understand the world through experience. In this study researchers used a research method with a qualitative approach by collecting data by conducting interviews, observations, and also documentation, where the informants that the authors set in conducting this study were as many as 6 informants, data obtained from informants that the author had determined then poured in a discussion with each of the results of the interview that the author got. The results of this study, found 2 things namely the phenomenology of Radio Broadcasters in the City of Pekanbaru seen from the motive that radio broadcasters had experience before plunging as radio broadcasters, starting from hunting DJs, taking extracurricular activities, starting with admiration for radio broadcasters or MCs, having been MC at the time of college, and there was initially an announcer because of following his brother who was a broadcaster. Besides that, the phenomenology of Radio Broadcasters is seen from In-Order-Motive, that is, they have a reason as radio broadcasters, namely as channeling hobbies, being able to add knowledge and sharpening and training themselves to be skilled in communicating, expanding friends with extensive relationships, relieving stress because they relax , and they are happy because radio broadcasters also have a lot of fans.
