Abstract
The purpose of the study was to determine and analyze the effect of workload on the stress of nurse work at the Teluk Kuantan General Hospital in Kuantan Singingi Regency. This research was carried out by descriptive method using primary data and secondary data obtained through interviews / interviews and research questionnaires. The population in this study were 37 nurses. From this population researchers took all nurses to be used as research samples. The sampling technique is determined using the census method. The results of the study are that the workload influences the stress variables of the nurses' work at the Teluk Kuantan General Hospital, Kuantan Singingi Regency. This is evidenced by the value of t arithmetic is 9.749 while t-table is (0.025; 35) = 2,301 because t count (9,749)> of t table (2,301) then Ho is rejected.
