Abstract

Problems in this research is, the existence of some students who lack the master of the technique of football passing in sepak takraw. This can be seen when the students lack the mastery of football passing techniques in sepak takraw. The existence of this deficiency is caused by the lack of maximal coordination of the ankles owned by the students, in addition to the physical condition of the player is also a supporting factor for the mastery of the tempo of the game. One's foot coordination can affect the ability of passing, the relationship between the foot coordination of a person against the passing of soccer football is to have a maximal foot coordination one can direct the ball well, therefore the purpose of this study is to know the contribution of the ankle against ability to pass soccer football in sepak takraw at students of SMP Negeri 5 Sentajo Raya Kuantan Singingi Regency. In this study using correlational research design that aims to find out how much the contribution of the foot against football passing in sepak takraw at the students of SMP Negeri 5 Sentajo Raya Kuantan Singingi Regency. population is a generalization region consisting of objects or subjects that have certain qualities and characteristics set by the researchers to be studied and then drawn conclusions. The number of population in this research is 13 people. The sample is a representative object of the population to be studied, where if the population is less than 100 people then the population can be used as a total sample of 13 people. The conclusion that can be taken in this research is, there is no contribution of the foot to the ability of football passing in sepak takraw at the students of SMP Negeri 5 Sentajo Raya Kuantan Singingi Regency. Based on calculation by using product moment then got result rhitung equal to 0,260. This value when viewed in the correlation coofesien table is low. For hypothesis testing if there is any contribution of foot coordination to soccer passing then used correlation "r" at product moment (rxy) at 5% significant level apparently rhitung = 0,260 at significant level 5% rt = 0,602 thus rhitung <rtabel or 0,260 <0.620. This means that the correlation of variable X with Y or the contribution of foot coordination to the soccer passing is insignificant, so the hypothesis proposed is rejected.
