Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of service capabilities under volleyball play through audio-visual media for students of class VII-1 SIAK HULU SMP 4. This research was carried out in the even semester of 2018/2019 school year. The form of this research is classroom action research. The population in this study is that all students in class VII-1 of SMP 4 SIAK HULU and the sample in this study is class VII-1 SIAK SMP 4 which amounts to 34 people. The sample selection technique in this study is total sampling. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out with observation techniques, library techniques and measurement techniques. The data analysis technique uses performance tests, namely the practice of lower service skills, then the results of the tests are assessed. From the implementation of the first cycle there were 19 students who achieved the KKM score (55.88%) and 15 students who had not achieved the KKM score (44.12%). Then proceed with the implementation of the second cycle and the results increased with the number of 29 students who reached KKM (85.30%) and 5 students who had not reached KKM (14.70%). Thus it can be concluded that there is an increase in service capability under volleyball games through audio-visual media for students of class VII-1 of SIAK HULU Junior High School 4.
