Abstract

The Kaiti Samo irrigation area is one of the irrigation areas in the Rokan Hulu district of Riau province. The irrigation area draws water from the Cipogas dam reservoir which is a tributary of the Kaiti river and serves an agricultura l area of ± 818.1 hectares covering 17 villages in the Rambah and Rambah Samo sub - districts. In the study of Kaiti Samo irrigation network evaluation with an area of ± 818.1 Ha, what will be analyzed is the amount of water demand, channel discharge, (Prima ry Channels, Secondary Channels, and Tertiary Channels) as well as calculating the dimensions of complementary buildings (water building doors) Romijin doors planned on an agricultural area of ± 818.1 hectares. The method used to calculate the evaporation analysis is the Hargreves method, the method used to analyze channel dimensions in the Kaiti Samo irrigation network is the Strikler (Trapezoid) and Manning (Square) Method, and to calculate the building for / tapping used a measuring instrument formula Ro mijin. Based on the analysis of the calculation of discharge and water requirements that can be utilized from Kaiti Irrigation for potential agricultural areas covering ± 818.1 ha, the water needs are Irr = 3.999 I / sec / ha and the planned discharge plan QRR = 5,770 m3 / sec and from the results analysis of the calculation of channel discharge analyzed by researchers is obtained Q Channel = 5,320 m3 / sec So that it can be seen Q Channel ≤ Q Rencana , it can be concluded that the hooki irrigation channel in certain channel sections is not able to meet the utilization of water needs plans to irrigate agricultural land area, so it is necessary to review the calculation of the dimensions of the Kaiti Samo irrigation channel.
