Abstract
This research is motivated by the frequent occurrence of damage to the structure of the national roads, which interfere with the activity of the community in performing daily activities. The purpose of research to determine the main tasks and functions of the Implementation Unit of the National Roads Region II Riau Province in overseeing the maintenance of national roads that are in their control according to Peraturan Menteri Pekerjaan Umum Nomor 13 Tahun 2011 on procedures for maintanance and inspection road. Evaluation indicators used in this study is to compare the fact that there is a standard in the field with the planning that has been made. In this study using quantitative method based on data from questionnaires, interviews and field observations, the researchers encountered in the field of damaged roads and field supervisors are not fulfil standard 10 km by 2 people. of the data and information obtained by the researchers concluded Implementation Unit Task Execution Region II National Road Riau Province in overseeing the national road Marpoyan-Limit Kuantan Singing- Taluk Kuantan Kuantan-Limit Sumatra in the category "Pretty Good" thing to consider is the implementation supervision of the routine maintenance of national roads should add field inspectors to oversee the maintenance of national roads to match the sound planning and improve the quality of the national road structure.
