Abstract
Drainage is one of the most important infrastructure in the region. Nowadays, the state of the drainage channel is very alarming and less well maintained. Moreover, it is not be able to accommodate rainwater, so the water overflows and cause the puddle. The problems of puddles and floods will certainly have a negative impact on social conditions, economy, security, even any aspects of society's life and it can reduce environmental quality. The study was conducted on Mandala Street where there were frequent puddle after rainfall. The research is done by analyzing stream flow and comparing with existing channel debit in order to know whether the channel is still able to accommodate the water flow. The rain frequency was calculated using the method of Log Pearson Tipe III, Rainfall intensity was calculated using the Mononobe formula, stream flow Analysis was calculated using the Rational Method formula, and the channel debit was calculated using the Manning equation formula. The results obtained stream flow for each channel varies between 0.137481 (m3 / s) to 2.889001 (m3 / s), While the channel debit also varies between 0.227127 (m3 / sec) to 0.7077065 (m3 / sec). So it can be concluded that the cause of puddles in mandala street that is due to drainage channels Dmandala KN1, Dmandala KN3, Dmandala KR1, Dmandala KR2, Dmandala KR3, Dgaruda KN1, Dwonosari KR2, Dkatio KR1 and Dsukajaya KN1 is not able to accommodate and to discharge the water flow so that it must be fixed by enlarge the channel dimension in accordance with the calculation results so that the puddles can be overcome.
