Abstract

This study aims to determine the laboratory profile and teacher competency of laboratory science/Biology to 4 SMPN KecamatanTenayan Raya Pekanbaru academic year 2017/2018. based on permendiknas No 24 of 2007 and Permendiknas No. 26 of 2008. Data analysis in this research is done descriptively. The sample in this research is the science teacher who manages the laboratory at 4 State Junior High School Tenayan Raya District Pekanbaru. Data obtained through observation sheet, questionnaire, interview,document recording. From the results of the research on the laboratory profile, obtained a percentage on each indicator that is, the furniture facilities of 82% are in good category, educational tools obtained percentage 59,94% are fullycategoryzed, 100% education media categorized very complete and other equipment show 74% are fullycategoryzed. While the facilities and infrastructure laboratory IPA / Biology 4 SMP Negeri In Tenayan Raya District Pekanbaru city who got the highest percentage that is at SMP Negeri 9 Pekanbaru 79,50% categorized very completeand the lowest average percentage is in SMP Negeri 31Pekanbaru is 76,94% categorized very complete. While the results of research competency of laboratory manager of labor obtained by percentage in each aspect respectively that is, qualification aspect 50% is in less competencecategorie, personality competence equal to 96% is in very competence category, social competence obtained 73% is in the category of competence, managerial competence of 76% is in the category of sufficient competence and professional competence indicate 79% are in the category competence. Percentage of labor profile of 4 SMPN Kecamatan Tenayan Raya Pekanbaru, highestpercentage average 91% (verry good), lowest average percentage 85% (good) and average percentage overall 87% (good) and accrordance with Permendiknas No 24 of 2007). Competence of teachers of IPA/Biology laboratory managers of State Junior High School Tenayan Raya District Pekanbaru, highest percentage 77% (competent) and accrordance with Permendiknas No 26 of 2008.
